About the Role As a Delivery Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering technology projects that support Health New Zealand's operational priorities and improve health outcomes for communities across Aotearoa. You'll lead multidisciplinary delivery teams and take responsibility for the successful planning, execution and delivery of complex digital initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with business objectives. Working closely with programme leaders, technical specialists, vendors and key stakeholders, you'll manage project risks, resources, governance and delivery outcomes while driving collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across a diverse technology environment that supports critical healthcare services nationwide. About you You are an experienced technology delivery professional who thrives on leading teams and delivering complex digital projects in a fast-paced environment. You are a confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across technical and business teams, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You have a collaborative leadership style, enjoy solving complex challenges, and are passionate about achieving high-quality outcomes for customers and stakeholders. Adaptable, resilient and delivery-focused, you're committed to continuous improvement, fostering inclusive team cultures, and applying the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi to support equitable health outcomes across Aotearoa New Zealand. To succeed in this role, you will bring: Demonstrated experience (5+ years) successfully managing the end-to-end delivery of technology projects or programmes within complex IT or digital environments. Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional delivery teams while managing competing priorities, risks, budgets and project timelines. Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with the ability to adapt delivery approaches to meet business needs. Experience working with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), together with a sound understanding of IT infrastructure and software delivery practices. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills, with experience working alongside senior leaders, technical specialists, vendors and business partners. Proficiency using project delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana, Confluence or similar, with experience supporting governance, reporting and continuous improvement. Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, with ITIL Foundation, Agile certification (e.g. Scrum Master or Product Owner) and PMP certification highly regarded.
