Head Kaiako -Mission Bay Kindergarten

This is an opportunity for a confident ECE leader who enjoys bringing people together, strengthening teaching practice and creating an environment where tamariki, whānau and kaiako can thrive. As head kaiako, you will combine pedagogical leadership with the day-to-day operational leadership of the kindergarten. You will work alongside your team, support professional growth, strengthen collaborative practice and help shape a shared vision for the kindergarten. You will also build strong relationships with tamariki, whānau and the wider community, while ensuring the kindergarten continues to operate effectively and meet its professional and regulatory responsibilities. We are looking for someone who brings: At least five years’ experience in an ECE environment A recognised ECE teaching qualification and current full practising certificate Proven leadership and team development experience Strong pedagogical leadership capability A sound understanding of Te Whāriki and play-based learning Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural practice Confidence leading internal evaluation and continuous improvement Strong communication and relationship-building skills A current First Aid certificate As part of Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki | Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA), you will join a wider network of experienced ECE leaders while having the opportunity to shape the culture and learning environment of Mission Bay Kindergarten.
