Professional Development/Events Advisor

About The Role Our Wellington based client is looking for a Professional Development Advisor/Events Advisor to join their Wellington team. This is a hands‑on, people‑facing role that sits at the intersection of events/programme delivery, customer service, and stakeholder coordination. If you enjoy making things run seamlessly, hosting groups confidently, and being the “go‑to” person at events on the day, this role could be a great fit for you. What You’ll Be Doing Coordinating end-to-end delivery of in-person and online professional development programmes (logistics, venues, catering, materials, tech) Being on-site during delivery: welcoming attendees, introducing facilitators/speakers, and ensuring sessions run smoothly Acting as the key point of contact for facilitators, participants, venues and suppliers Providing advice and support to stakeholders Monitoring course fill rates and working with internal teams to support attendance and targets Managing shared inbox queries, triage, waitlists/EOIs, and follow-up communications Ensuring post-course evaluations and continuous improvement feedback loops are completed Supporting quality delivery, safe delivery practices, and strong stakeholder relationships What We’re Looking For Proven experience in events coordination, programme delivery, training administration, or customer‑facing coordination roles Calm, confident communicator with the maturity to engage with senior stakeholders (not about age—about presence) Strong organisation and attention to detail—able to juggle moving parts and keep momentum The ability to travel as required. (Flexible working is available when not travelling).
