About the Squad The Private Cloud Squad sits within our Infrastructure Services Platform and provides the foundational services that power ASB's technology estate. The squadis responsible forserver provisioning, vulnerability management, configurationmanagementand compute services consumed by teams across the organisation. As technology continues to evolve, Private Cloud is expanding its focus to include strategic cyber security initiatives,to improve efficiency,consistencyand resilience across the enterprise. About the Role As a Systems Specialist,you'llbe involved in the operation ofASB'svulnerability managementand foundational server provisioningservices.You will primarily work alongside our senior engineers toestablishandmaintainnew Cyber Security initiatives focused on Secure Configuration Management andthird-partysoftware deployment, using your experienceand knowledge ofsystem administration.You willalsoberesponsibleforday-to-day operationofthe Windows and Red Hat patchingservices,assistingother teamswiththeirBAU patching queriesandtroubleshooting across their server fleets. Key Responsibilities Analysis andBAUSupport–MicrosoftSCCM, Red Hat Satellite, Windows and RHELserverinfrastructure and security patching Third party software packaging services and deployments to servers Execution of Secure Configuration Management baselines and policies Vulnerability management,documentationand knowledgesharing Basic support of the VMware virtualization environment Contribute to squad planning, roadmapinitiativesand continuous improvement activities Participate in after-hours support and maintenance activities whenrequired About You You'rean infrastructure professional who is passionate about solving complex operational challenges. You enjoy working acrossteams andhelping others adopt better ways of working. Whetheryou'realreadya Windows or Linux systems administratoror haveseasoned experience with servervirtualizationandendpoint managementenvironments,you'llbring a combination of technical depth, practical problem-solvingskillsand a continuous improvement mindset. Key Skills and Experience 3-5years' experience in infrastructureengineering,platformengineeringor Site Reliability Engineering Experience withMicrosoft SCCM, Red Hat Satelliteor comparableendpoint managementtechnologies Strong systemsadministrationandVMware experience Strong understanding of operational cyber security concepts Experience working within Agile delivery environments Excellent stakeholder engagement,communicationand collaboration skills Ability tooperateeffectively within a regulated enterprise environment Highly regarded: Scripting and automation experience inPowershell, Ansible and other toolsets Strong understanding of infrastructure operations and engineering best practices Cyber security,cloudor platform engineering certifications Experience working within large, complex technology environments Working for ASB At ASB,we'recommitted to helping our people grow and thrive both professionally and personally.
