Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2027, End Date: 27/01/2028 (Refreshment Leave) Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Two Salary Units Glendowie College is seeking an experienced, reliable and professional person to work with our Māori and Pasifika ākonga and whānau. The successful applicant will be a culturally responsive learning support coordinator, working closely with two team members, and the wider student services team. This position is fixed term for one year, from 28 January 2027 to 27 January 2028, full-time covering refreshment leave. As a college, we are a community which strives to empower ākonga to experience success. An ideal candidate will: Have a current teaching practising certificate and relevant teaching qualification. Have experience in a range of student support strategies which may include literacy, numeracy or behaviour management. Be relational and collaborative, able to build positive relationships with ākonga, whānau, ngā kaiako and a wide range of staff. Have an appreciation of tikanga Māori, Pasifika customs and values, and be committed to Te Tiriti ō Waitangi Be proactive and solution-focused. Have some experience using ICT programmes, including Learning Platforms (e.g. Steps; Education Perfect); Google; KAMAR.
