Overview Millbrook Resort is New Zealand’s leadinglifestyle resort, with technology playing a critical role in supporting ourguests, team members and day-to-day operations. As our Senior Systems Engineer, you will providesenior technical support to the IT Manager and wider resort operation, ensuringour systems, infrastructure, network services and cloud platforms are reliable,secure and maintained to a high standard. This is a hands-on technical roleresponsible for supporting and improving a hybrid environment includingMicrosoft 365, VMware infrastructure, FortiGate firewalls, server systems,business-critical applications and enterprise networking. You will also act asan escalation point for complex technical issues, contribute to projectdelivery and help maintain secure processes and five-star service levels acrossthe resort. What will your day look like? Acting as a senior technical escalation point forinfrastructure, network, security, server and Microsoft 365 issues across the resort Managing and maintaining core IT infrastructure,including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VMware, enterprise networking andcloud platforms Supporting business-critical systems and applicationswhile monitoring system performance, security, backups and operationalreliability Leading or assisting with infrastructure upgrades,technology projects, system improvements and continuous enhancement initiatives Producing and maintaining technical documentation,supporting service desk operations and ensuring tasks and incidents are managedeffectively Working closely with team members, vendors andstakeholders to deliver reliable technology services and exceptional internalcustomer support What makes you right for this role? At least five years' experience in a Systems Engineering,Infrastructure Engineering, Senior IT Support or similar enterprise-level role Proven experience supporting on-premises, hybrid andcloud infrastructure environments Strong administration experience across Microsoft 365,including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune and Entra ID Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory,Group Policy, VMware and supporting infrastructure technologies Strong networking and security expertise, includingLAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs and accesscontrols Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving andcommunication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts tonon-technical audiences A collaborative, customer-focused approach, with theability to work independently and mentor less experienced team members Experience with scripting, automation, ITSM frameworks,or hospitality technology environments would be advantageous A clean NZ Driver's Licence Availability to participate in after-hourssupport arrangements, including weekends and public holidays when required Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown.
