Our Fraud Investigators detect and prevent fraudulent activity buildingcustomer trust and helping our customers feel safe when they bank with us. In this role you will: Manage fraud cases to minimize the impacts of financial crime on our customers and businesses. Investigate complex activity through research and analysis of customer accounts and behaviour, including internet banking, cards, and lending-related investigations. Prepare investigation files and collaborate with Kiwibank branches, Police, and other parties to support investigation outcomes and possible prosecution. Contribute continuous improvement by using your knowledge and experience to improve the effectiveness of systems, processes, and procedures used. Collaborate with Kiwibank’s frontline teams, and other stakeholders to support our customers and Kiwibank ensuring team SLAs are all met. This is a one-year fixed term contract workingMonday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm. Ko tātou tēnei. Kia hāpai i ō pūkenga | This is us.Where your expertise matters. At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths anddevelop new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if youhave some of the following skills and experience: Prior experience working in Police or as a Fraud Investigator in large companies or other banks is preferred. A strong understanding of the financial industry, fraud and anti-money laundering environment and legislation. An understanding of fraud detection systems, SQL, and advanced Excel. An ability to spot anomalies, connect patterns, and look “outside the square” to identify emerging fraud trends and prevention opportunities. High attention to detail and good organisation to manage files and documentation that will be used as evidence in cases. Great communication and relationship building with all stakeholders and Kiwibank customers.
