Cattery Assistant - Glen Innes

This is an exciting opportunity for an animal lover who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional care to every pet that stays with us. About the role: As a Cattery Assistant , you will play an important role in ensuring our feline guests receive the highest standard of care during their stay. You'll help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while supporting the Vetcare team during busy periods throughout the year. Key responsibilities: Feeding and providing fresh water to cats in our care. Cleaning cattery facilities, cat condos, and litter trays to a high standard. Assisting with cat exercise and enrichment routines. Monitoring cat health and wellbeing and alerting the clinical team to any concerns. Maintaining excellent hygiene and housekeeping standards throughout the day. Following health, safety, and animal welfare protocols at all times. Working collaboratively with Vet Nurses and the wider Vetcare team. Providing a positive experience for both pets and their owners. About You: We're looking for someone who: Has experience handling cats. Has a genuine passion for animal welfare. Is friendly, reliable, and enjoys working with people. Works well as part of a team. Can remain calm and attentive when caring for animals. Has customer service experience (preferred). Has animal care experience (preferred but not essential). Is available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
