Distinction Luxmore Hotel Te Anau is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Executive Assistant Manager to join our leadership team in the heart of beautiful Fiordland. Reporting directly to the General Manager, we're looking for an energetic, forward-thinking hospitality leader who enjoys solving problems, developing people, and continuously improving the business. You will be someone who doesn't just identify challenges; you bring solutions and are always looking for ways to improve the guest experience and hotel performance. This is a permanent, full-time position with a minimum of 35 hours per week. About the Role As Executive Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel. You will provide leadership across all departments. As a hands‑on leader, you will be required to work operational shifts, including Duty Manager shifts to support the business. Key Responsibilities Support the General Manager in the overall leadership and management of the hotel Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction Oversee the daily operations of Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Maintenance Manage staffing levels, rostering, recruitment and training. Contribute ideas and initiatives that improve efficiency, profitability and the guest experience Assist with developing and achieving hotel KPIs, budgets and financial targets Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently Ensure compliance with health and safety, liquor licensing, food safety and company policies Act as General Manager in their absence To be successful you will have A minimum of 3 years' management experience in a hotel or hospitality environment Strong leadership and experience across multiple hotel departments Excellent communication, organisational and management skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems Experience using social media and digital platforms to support guest engagement and business promotion The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions A current New Zealand LCQ and Manager's Certificate, or the ability to obtain them Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays What We Offer A senior leadership opportunity with one of New Zealand's leading hotel groups A supportive and collaborative team environment The chance to live and work in the spectacular Fiordland region Opportunities for professional development and career progression Staff discounts across Distinction Hotels throughout New Zealand Book direct for the Best Price Guaranteed.
