Shifts covered acrossMonday to Friday; afternoon and night and Weekends; morning, afternoon andnight. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced seniornurse to join our dedicated After Hours Nursing Team and expand their skills. The After Hours Nurse Coordinator is responsible for assessing and ensuring optimum patient care, through supporting the Duty NurseManager (DNM) with clinical resource, problem solving,mortuary,emergency drug cupboard, utilising CCM to assist with staffing, VRM response,and supporting the DNM in emergent events in the EOC such as fire, earthquakesetc. in the after hours, weekends and public holidays. This is a busy and attimes challenging role. About the Service The Nurse Coordinator role at Christchurch Hospital carriesout a key role in our senior nursing team in the Department of Nursing. About You In this busy and challenging role, you will be an expert inthe acute setting with excellent patient assessment skills and highly organisedwith great time management skills. You will have excellent communicationskills, problem solving skills and enjoy liaising with a variety of healthprofessionals and the public. Skills and experience: Flexible to cover allshifts across Monday to Sunday A vision for nursing andaccountability for performance. A broad knowledge of thehealth and disability sector The ability to leadinnovation and organisational change. Postgraduatequalification in nursing and or health leadership and management orcurrently working towards this Evidence of contributionto project teams Evidence of involvementin improvement initiatives Evidence of excellentinterpersonal skills and leadership qualities. Demonstrated culturalcompetencies in the practice setting.
