The Authority oversees and regulates the safety and quality of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater services across New Zealand. Job Description Reporting to the Manager Data Analytics, the CRP Project Data Lead will provide leadership and coordination of all data-related activities within the Core Regulatory Platform project. You will work across business, technology, and delivery teams to ensure data is well governed, integrated, secure, and fit for future reporting, analytics,andregulatory intelligence. This role will play a critical part in delivering a substantial uplift in our data and intelligence capability asTaumataArowaicontinues its shift towards a more modern, digitally enabled regulatory environment. Asthe CRP Project DataLead,youwill: Lead development of the CRP data strategy, principles, and roadmap Shape the future-state data architecture, information models, and integration approaches Establish practical data governance, quality, and stewardship practices Lead data migration, transformation, and integration activities Define reporting, analytics, and regulatory intelligence requirements Identifyopportunities toleveragepredictive analytics and responsible AI Facilitate workshops and engagement with business, technology, and executive stakeholders Provide expert advice to governance groups and programme leadership Manage risks, dependencies, decisions, and delivery activities relating to the CRP data workstream. You'll bring: Significant experiencein data management, analytics, data architecture, or data platform delivery Experience leading large-scale data initiatives, transformation programmes, or technology-enabled change Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, integration, and information management Experience working with business intelligence, analytics, and data platforms Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills The ability to communicate complex technical concepts in plain language Strong judgement, initiative, and the ability to work through ambiguity and complexity A commitment to ethical data use, privacy and Māori data sovereignty principles.
