Job Category: Government & Defence The Water Services Authority - Taumata Arowai (the Authority) was established as a Crown Entity in 2021, following the outbreak of illness in the Havelock North community as a result of drinking contaminated water from the public water supply. The Authority oversees and regulates the safety and quality of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater services across New Zealand. Job Description Our Senior Designer, Guidance Design plays a key role in the Guidance Design Hub, creating practical, accessible and engaging visual resources that help water suppliers, sector stakeholders and communities understand regulatory expectations and take action. The Senior Designer, Guidance Design will: Lead the design of clear, accessible guidance collateral, including one-pagers, diagrams, information graphics, tools, templates and digital resources. Translate complex regulatory, technical and operational information into visual products that are easy to understand and use. Work collaboratively with technical specialists, operational teams and stakeholders to develop guidance that is accurate, practical and user-focused. We are looking for someone who: Can bring strong design judgement, visual hierarchy and accessibility thinking to resources for diverse audiences. Is a confident collaborator who can lead design work from brief through to delivery, manage feedback and deliver high-quality outputs at pace.
