Our Waihi Operation in the North Island of New Zealand is an underground gold mine.Arecent consent for the Waihi North Project, anew mine to be developed 6 km north of the existing operation has provided along-term extension of mine life providing our 400 staff and contractors, and the people of Waihi, an assurance that we plan to be here for thelong-term. Job Description Are you keen to ditch the FIFO lifestyle or fed up of living in remote mining towns? Have you ever dreamt of living at the beach and enjoying ashort commute to site? Do you have Underground Surveying qualifications and experience? If you answered yes to all of the above we would love to hear fromyou! You will provide the Waihi Underground Mine with adequate survey services to ensure daily operational requirements are met.This involves ensuring survey standards are maintained, and tasks are completed accurately andsafely. Key responsibilities: Install and maintain laser alignment systems for development. Ensure that all work is undertaken safely, in line with processes andprocedures. Issue mining instructions for the jumbooperators. Complete regular survey pickups of the constructed underground workings. Conduct regular set-out tasks andmarkups. Complete scans of production and historicvoids. Maintain and extend survey control points ensuring the highest possible accuracy for themine. Maintain ahigh standard of communications between all the departments associated with the underground mine. Ensure tasks are planned and scheduled to achieve the best possible outcome for the team and theoperation. Ensure all required survey records and datasets are maintained and keptupdated. Provide support and training to others within the team when and asrequired. Qualifications Tertiary Qualification in Surveying or Demonstrated SurveyingExperience Full and Current Driver Licence, with ability to drive ManualVehicles. Previous survey experience in an underground mine or similar environment. Experience with surveying software, Deswik and Surpacpreferred.
