Job Description

LeaderBrand’s Salad House is looking for enthusiastic and reliable full-time Process Workers to join our nightshift (10pm – 0630am). We’re passionate about delivering quality produce “from garden gate to dinner plate” to Kiwi families nationwide. As a valued part of our team, you’ll support our hygiene operations to maintain exceptional standards in cleanliness and efficiency in our state-of-the-art salad processing facility. As a Process Worker, your role is key in ensuring high-quality, cost-effective production while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will work across various rooms, contributing to production flow and supporting process improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the factory is thoroughly cleaned each night, meeting all hygiene and quality standards to maintain a safe and efficient environment. Your tasks may include: Knife work for raw material preparation Operating machinery Lifting and stacking crates Maintaining food safety and quality standards Ensuring production lines are set up correctly after cleaning Adhering to safety protocols and GMP guidelines This role is varied and may involve working across different rooms, including: End of shift clean: Perform thorough end-of-shift clean down of all equipment and production areas, including scrubbing surfaces and removing debris to meet hygiene and safety standards. Meet strict hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring a safe production environment for the next shift Blue Room: Dropping condiments, crating off, loading, and reworking defective bags Ensuring all bagging lines operate safely while maintaining quality and efficiency Packing Room: Packing, stacking, quality assurance checks, and managing production line flow Prep Room: Prepping raw materials, conducting quality checks, and running processing equipment About You To be successful in this role, you should have: Physical fitness and the ability to work in a cold indoor environment Experience in a processing or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritise workload and multitask in a fast-paced environment Experience working in a health & safety-conscious environment Understanding of food safety and GMP requirements Commitment to continuous improvement and ability to work in a team setting A motivated and reliable attitude Full training will be provided to successful candidates.
