The ideal applicant will have: A current NZ Occupational Therapist registration through OTBNZ Paediatric experience Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to learners with disabilities and their families and whanau The ability to consult and set priorities while considering the needs of all stakeholders The capacity to work within classrooms to establish effective practice and to meet both group and individual goals A knowledge of ASD approaches, sensory processing, hand function, play and equipment accreditation Ko wai koe (About you) Arohanui School is a large, progressive special school based in West Auckland. We cater for students aged 5 to 21 years with intellectual and associated disabilities. Our students are educated in a range of settings including our base school, satellite classes and our tertiary unit for our students between the ages of 18-year-olds. OFFER Salary is dependant on experience. This is outlined in Kaiarahi i te Reo and Therapists' collective agreement 2026-2028.
