About theRole Take advantage of this opportunity tosupport the clinical education/training needs of nursing staff within the EmergencyDepartment at Wairau Hospital. This role utilises the principles of evidence-basedpractice to meet the learning needs of new and developing nursing team members. The Clinical Coach Emergency Department is a key member of both the EDand Workforce Development teams. Although based in the Wairau ED, this rolewill also provide support for other areas in the organisation. As a Clinical Coach it is your role to coach and educate staff totheirbest potential resulting in improved experiences for our health consumers. Youwill work alongside the ED team, in a clinical coach/mentoring capacity,leading and embedding evidence-based practice, developing education strategies,involving staff in identifying areas for development, and developing objectivesand plans to help staff apply learnings to practice. A large component of this role will be ensuring that clinical qualitysystems are in place within and across our nursing services to enhance caredelivery. About you We are looking for a NZ Registered Nurse witha current practising certificate and the skills required to provide educationand coaching appropriate to emergency nursing. You Will have a minimum of 3 to4 years of ED, or other acute nursing experience, and the ability todemonstrate clinical leadership. You are a highly motivated person who can workwith all your peers. A post graduated certificate is desired andif this has not been achieved yet, then the expectation is that you would enrolin a post graduate clinical assessment and reasoning paper during thecommencement of the clinical coach role. You will be anexperienced, resilient and adaptable senior registered nurse with a currentpracticing certificate and extensive adult acute critical/coronary care nursingexperience. You will have excellent communication and engagement skills, andyou will have demonstrated your ability to teach adults in both formal andinformal setting. You will have a current Expert portfolio (or working towards) and aCertificate in Adult Teaching Level 4, as well as Masters of Nursing levelpost graduate education, or working towards (essential).
