Learning Support Coordinator

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Spring Creek School is looking for an experienced, passionate and collaborative kaiako to join our team. We have 2 opportunities available that could be combined for the right person: Structured Literacy Teacher – 0.2 FTTE, Fixed Term. Our LSC will coordinate and strengthen learning support across our kura, working alongside tamariki, whānau, kaiako, leadership and external agencies. The role includes: coordinating support for learners with additional learning, behavioural, social, emotional or developmental needs developing and monitoring IEPs and learning support plans supporting tamariki with oral language needs coordinating referrals and working with external agencies supporting inclusive practice across the kura building strong relationships with tamariki, whānau and staff opportunities to support gifted and talented learners. The additional 0.2 structured literacy position has a strong focus on providing targeted literacy intervention for individuals and small groups of tamariki. We would love to hear from a registered teacher with an interest or experience in learning support, structured literacy, oral language and inclusive education. LSC: 0.2 FTTE – permanent.
