Resource Consents Planner

Te āheinga: The opportunity We are looking for a Resource Consent Planner to support the Resource Consents Manager in efficiently and effectively administering the Resource Management Act 1991 . The Resource Consent Planner will: Ensure applications for consent under the Resource Management Act are processed efficiently with a focus on delivering a high degree of customer service while meeting Council’s corporate, community and legislative requirements. An integrated service is provided to Resource Consent applicants in relation to any other consents required under the Building Act, Environmental Health legislation or other permits required under Council’s bylaws. Work collaboratively and develop a rapport with local communities across the South Waikato District. Research and coordinate the application of new knowledge in the area of resource consenting. Prepare reports, agenda items and minutes as required. Full details of key responsibilities are available in the Position Description. To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with: Qualification and/or relevant experience in planning, resource consenting, or other relevant discipline. Demonstrative decision-making skills and keyboard proficiency and strong Microsoft Office Skills.
