Lead Counsellor

Secondary (Years 7-15) / wharekura, Guidance counsellor English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Two Salary Units Glendowie College is a community which strives to empower ākonga to experience success. We are seeking an experienced, reliable and professional person, who can provide excellent, confidential counselling services to our students. The successful applicant will work closely with two other counsellors, forming part of our wider student services team. This position starts from 28 January 2027. An ideal candidate will: Have current registration with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) or equivalent professional body. Have experience providing one‑on‑one counselling with young people, preferably within a school environment. Be able to lead and provide advice to other members of the counselling team. Be able to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with students, caregivers, colleagues, management and a wide range of staff. Have experience facilitating restorative practices.
