About our Product & Stocks Team
Our Finance Team are responsible for producing the financial scorecard for Z, accounting for all cash in and out of Z, maintaining the accuracy of our financial records of our assets and paying our taxes.

Within Finance we have a Product and Stocks Team who look after all the transactions relating to our fuel products. Having our product valued and accounted for correctly is crucial for Z and this team delivers important outcomes in a key part of our business.

About the role
Joining us as a Kaikaute Hautaonga Product Accountant will see you work with various functions across Z, deal with large volumes and values and deliver the accounting and reporting requirements needed for our fuel products.

This is a 14-month fixed term contract and great opportunity to bring your accounting knowledge to a specialised and interesting area!

You will have the opportunity to

  • Account for and report on Inventory accounting
  • Complete month end processes, this includes providing analysis of results and performance
  • Complete returns and payments for duties and product taxes
  • Complete regulatory reporting
  • Gain an understanding of the supply chain process in the fuel industry
  • Contribute to the Product and Stocks team and wider business

What you'll bring to Z

  • Tertiary accounting qualification (CA preferred) with 3+ years experience in financial and management accounting
  • Exposure to commercial and complex environments
  • Strong in logical/structured analysis and problem solving
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
  • Strong communication skills to work across Z with a range of stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to identifying and developing opportunities for improving processes

The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $120,000 per annum, we also offer a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution.
