Test Lead | Kaiarataki Whakamātau

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Test Lead to join our project team on a fixed term basis until 30 June 2027, based in our Christchurch office.

\n

As a Test Lead you will be leading testing effort for our data product delivery on data platform ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You will be working with a team of testers, coordinating testing activities and work closely with project managers to deliver exceptional product.

As a testlead, you’ll contribute to:

\n

\n
• Developingandimplementingcomprehensive test strategies and plans
\n
• Lead and mentor a team of testers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
\n
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and timely delivery of projects
\n
• An ability to quickly learnabout Stats NZ and relevant business processes, surveys and data
\n
• Identify, track and manage defects using appropriate tools
\n
• Conduct test reviews, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices
\n

\n

We are looking for motivated individual with:

\n

\n
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead rolein complex, large scale ICT environment
\n
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools(eg.Python,Scala,Selenium)
\n
• Experienceinautomatingintegration and regression tests
\n
• Strong understanding of data management and applicationtesting including highlighting any experience working with data platforms in a project
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication
\n
• Experience atself-managementand a team player in an IT project or delivery environment
\n
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
\n

Starting salary for this position:$97,270- $131,601+kiwisaver\n
