Clinical Nurse Specialist - Gynaecology Oncology

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical NurseSpecialist (CNS) who has a passion for Women's health and Oncology who willenjoy carrying out the role alongside our current Gynaecology Oncology CNS forthe service.This is an integral role in supporting the nursing andwider teams, leading with clinical expertise, reviewing patients, triagingreferrals, managing and supporting patients in their cancer journey, attendingmultidisciplinary meetings (MDMs), facilitating care pathways and collaboratingwith primary, secondary and tertiary providers in oncology journeys, are allkey functions of the role.You will be part of a team who is highly motivated toprovide an excellent standard of care that is patient centric, and that whichis designed to reduce inequity and meet the needs of our community.

The GynaecologyOncology team are an incredibly hard working and kind team that strive onputting patients and their whanau at the centre of their care. You will workclosely with our Gynaecology Oncology SMOs, Fellows, Registrars,Administrators, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurses and Cancer Nurse Coordinatorsto provide care for wahine accessing our service.The Gynaecology Oncology team support the whole SouthIsland for gynaecology oncology care and more recently is supporting the lowerNorth Island service too. This role is to support the increased demand in theservice as we require a second CNS to keep up with demand. When working in theGynaecology Oncology Service you will be rewarded with a great nursingenvironment and the opportunity to expand your skills and experience.

• Anexperienced registered nurse with expert knowledge and skills in preferablyoncology and/or gynaecology.

• Currentlyhold or be working towards a relevant post graduate qualification in nursing.

• Provenleadership skills, with the ability to be a specialist resource nurse forpatients, and other clinicians.
\n
• A solution focused approach to your work and theability to problem solve and think on your feet.
\n
• Hasa passion for Women's Health and have a comprehensive understanding of thehealth inequities that exist in women's health, with a will to mitigate these.
\n
• Motivated,adaptable, flexible, and solution focussed.
\n
• Ableto use technology efficiently (e.g., excel, databases)Workwell in a team as well as autonomouslyRegisteredwith the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual PractisingCertificate (APC)PDRPproficient or senior nurse portfolio preferred.
