Riverside Lifecare is a 65‑bed Care Home located in the sunny Merrilands, New Plymouth. The position is Permanent Full‑Time (32 hours or more per week) with shifts available in AM, PM, nights and weekends. About Our Role Location: Riverside Lifecare, sunny Merrilands, New Plymouth Employment: Permanent Full-Time (32 hrs or more per week) Pay: $31.23 per hour Shifts: AM, PM, nights and weekends We have a fantastic opportunity for a Caregiver with a passion for caring for others, who can make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents. You will bring a positive, compassionate attitude, a smile, excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills, and a genuine love for helping people. Your Skills and Experience Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment. Minimum NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing). Dementia experience or qualification is desirable. At least six months experience as a Caregiver or in a similar role. Good communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills. A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude. A passion for continuous improvement and a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
