Job Description About the Role Seasonal Contract | August 2026 – May 2027 CRV is seeking reliable, motivated individual to join our Herd Testing team for the 2026/27 season covering Gore/Tapanui run. As a Herd Test Technician, you will work on dairy farms, setting up herd testing equipment, collecting milk samples during milking, and accurately recording herd data using electronic systems. Work is carried out around milking times and during seasonal demand, with early starts, travelling, and overnight stays away from home. What You'll Need Strong organisational and time management skills High attention to detail and accuracy in data recording Confidence using technology and mobile data systems Professional, reliable, and self-motivated approach Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with farmers Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Comfortable working around livestock and in dairy shed environments Flexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings and seasonal peaks Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required What We Offer CRV Technician vehicle provided for work purposes Full training and ongoing support Supportive team environment Opportunity to work within New Zealand's dairy industry If you enjoy working outdoors, are highly organised, and can work independently while delivering accurate results, we'd love to hear from you.
