Full time set roster including evenings, mornings and split shifts Sunday and Monday off each week About the role: Join our team as a full-time 2IC Support Staff member based in Kaiapoi, where you’ll play a vital role supporting people with a learning disability in a warm, home-like environment. You'll assist the Manager in the dailyoperations of our homes, stepping into a leadership role whenneeded. Providing guidance and support to both residents and colleagues, you'llcreate a nurturing environment by leading through example. Upholding respect,dignity, and advocacy for residents' rights, you'll maintain a positiveatmosphere within the home. Additionally, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to build trusted relationships and provide compassionate, person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs. This position will be working across our 3four-bedroom homes with a mix of male and female residents. Several of theresidents use wheelchairs so experience with adaptive equipment and safe manualhandling would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided. Ideally, you'll have an NZ Certificatein Health and Wellbeing Level 2 or equivalent along with: A positive attitude to supporting people with learningdisability. A full New Zealand driver's licence. Great communication skills (written and verbal). What we can offer Ongoing development opportunities.
