Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity As the Faculty continues to grow, we are seeking an ambitious, collegial, and research-active Lecturer or Senior Lecturer specialising in Finance to join the Business School'sAccounting and Finance Department. We are seeking scholars with expertise in finance who will contribute to excellence in research and teaching. The successful candidate will contribute to finance teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, bringing strong theoretical knowledge and research expertise in their area of specialisation. We are open to candidates with expertise in a range of areas within finance and welcome applications from scholars whose research contributes to contemporary finance scholarship and practice. In addition to growing your academic profile and reputation, you will also be committed to shaping and delivering an exceptional learning experience for students, contributing to an innovative teaching environment using a variety of methods. All candidates will bring the potential to contribute service and citizenship within and beyond the University, as well as to actively participate in Department, Faculty and University committees and activities. He kōrero mōu | About you You will be a collegial academic with excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate your ideas, research, and future plans. You will hold a PhD in Finance, Financial Economics or a related discipline (or be nearing completion), along with: conducting high-quality, independent research and contributing to publications in leading international journals successfully delivering engaging, research-informed teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels designing engaging learning activities, assessments and/or curriculum supervising Honours, Master's and, where appropriate, PhD students to completion developing research collaborations, contributing to competitive research funding applications, and engaging with industry, professional or other external partners. Industry or practical experience in finance, as well as engagement with professional networks, would be advantageous.
