ABOUT THE ROLE This role supports the smooth, accurate and timely execution of purchasing and product costing processes. You’ll play a key role in maintaining data integrity across systems, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and supporting the wider Supply Chain team with practical, well‑judged analysis and day‑to‑day coordination. This is a role for someone who is confident, organised and quick to learn, with the ability to build credibility, manage competing priorities and contribute value from day one while helping Obex deliver better clinical outcomes for NZ patients. Core responsibilities: Supporting product costing processes with accuracy, sound judgement and timely updates. Managing purchase orders, supplier communications and product and supplier data with confidence, attention to detail and clear follow‑through. Providing inventory analysis and reporting that supports data‑driven, practical and commercially sound decision‑making. Collaborating effectively across teams to support accurate inventory, strong inventory mix management and cost efficiency. Supporting demand planning activity and supply chain improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, changing environment. What you bring: You’ll be confident, self‑assured and highly organised, with a can‑do approach and the ability to work productively and independently quickly. You’ll be comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, managing expectations clearly and responding effectively to requests. You will bring strong analytical thinking, sound judgement and the resilience to stay focused and practical in a busy, changing environment. We are looking for: Strong analytical and numerical skills, with sound judgement and the ability to make practical, well‑reasoned decisions. Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build credibility quickly. Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills, with the ability to balance accuracy, quality and practicality. A quick learner who is adaptable, resilient, and able to become productive with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI, Netstock, MYOB Exo, and working with quality systems or documented processes is desirable. Exposure to purchasing, costing or supply chain is desirable; experience in the healthcare or medical device industry would be an advantage.
