About the role Due to an increase in demand, we are looking for experienced Residential and commercial Carpenters to join our team in Christchurch. We have solid ongoing work available with various companies throughout the Canterbury area. As our commercial clients ramp up throughout Christchurch, we have a variety of ongoing projects that need full time commercial carpenters too. What you’ll be doing Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects Performing a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, roofing, siding, and finish work Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project completion Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations Providing high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service to clients What we’re looking for Minimum 3 years of experience as a Carpenter, with a solid understanding of building codes and construction methods Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges that arise on the job Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and clients A valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all relevant health and safety regulations Site Safe required Full tool kit required What we offer Good rates of weekly pay Opportunities for career advancement and professional development Supportive and collaborative work environment Permanent positions for reliable workers About us At Rightmove Recruitment, we understand there’s a difference between a job and a career you love.
