As a Food Service Associate , you will play a vital role in enhancing the patient dining experience at Dunedin Hospital . You’ll be responsible for patient meal service, menu selections, tray assembly and delivery, dietary support, and maintaining high standards of customer service, food safety, and hygiene. This is a Casual position where hours of work are "as and when" required basis upon business needs. Therefore, you MUST be available to work during weekends. Shifts avalible to start 0630 -1500 and 1530-2000. Assist with patient meal ordering, tray assembly, delivery, collection, and meal service activities. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and ward staff while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. Support dietary requirements by understanding special diets, dietary restrictions, and patient preferences. Maintain clean and hygienic food service areas, including dishwashing, stock rotation, cleaning, and replenishment duties. Complete administrative tasks, record keeping, temperature monitoring, and food safety documentation accurately. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently and compassionately with patients and staff. A customer-focused individual with excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude. Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Physically fit, reliable, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, healthcare, or customer service is advantageous.
