Job Description

Krukziener Properties, founded in 1988 by Andrew Krukziener, is a leading Auckland-based property development and investment company with a strong track record across residential, commercial, hotel, retail, and mixed-use projects. The company pioneered the conversion of commercial offices into high-quality inner-city residential dwellings and has delivered over NZ $2 billion in projects. Widely recognized for excellence in design and construction, Krukziener Properties has received multiple industry awards. The company is known for its sensitive restoration and redevelopment of landmark heritage buildings, combining architectural quality, innovative design, and strong investment performance. Its ongoing goal is to create profitable, high-quality environments where people enjoy living and working in Auckland City. Role Description Seeking Someone with Seichel (common sense, wisdom, good judgment and practical intelligence) I am looking for a sharp commercial mind to join us at Krukziener Properties. We are expanding our business and development pipeline in Auckland, and I am looking for an exceptional, highly capable person to join our team and work directly alongside me. If you are currently a senior associate in corporate/property law, an investment banking associate, or working in private equity/corporate finance, you know the rigor of complex transactions. But if you’re looking to step out of advisory or institutional bureaucracy and into a direct principal role, this opportunity is for you. You will work in Auckland in a full-time capacity, providing both legal and investment advisory support across the company’s property acquisitions, developments, financings, and disposals. Day-to-day responsibilities include structuring transactions, drafting and reviewing contracts, negotiating terms with partners, lenders, and investors, and ensuring compliance with relevant property, corporate, and financial regulations. The role involves financial modelling and valuation of potential projects, performing due diligence on assets and preparing investment proposals and reports for internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with me, external counsel, financial institutions, and project teams to optimize transaction structures and manage risk. End-to-End Deal Execution: Structuring, evaluating, and closing major acquisition and development opportunities. Direct Proximity to Decision-Making: Zero corporate layers. You will be working directly on high-value projects. Commercial Rigor: Blending capital structuring, negotiation, legal acumen, and strategic asset optimization. We aren't looking for a passive manager; we’re looking for someone with strong commercial instincts, high drive, and the ambition to execute at the highest level. Qualifications Strong legal expertise in corporate, property, and contract law, including experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements. Investment banking or corporate finance experience, including transaction structuring, financial modelling, valuation, and deal execution. Knowledge of real estate investment and development, particularly hotels, commercial and residential property, and familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks. Advanced analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize legal and financial information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise reports, term sheets, and presentations for diverse stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment. Experience working with banks, private investors, and institutional stakeholders is highly desirable. All enquiries will be kept strictly confidential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
