Health & Safety Compliance Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health & Safety Compliance Officer to join our Auckland Ground Handling team. In this role, you will take the lead on health, safety and compliance matters across airside operations. Working closely with operational teams, you will conduct workplace inspections, complete risk assessments, support incident investigations and actively promote a strong and positive safety culture. You will also maintain and monitor the company's Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and confirming that all airside personnel operate within the requirements of their training and authorisations. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments Promote and support a proactive safety culture across airside operations Maintain and monitor the Safety Management System (SMS) Ensure compliance with aviation and OH&S regulatory requirements Assist with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions Identify and support the management of workplace safety and compliance risks Engage with internal teams and key stakeholders to strengthen safety performance Monitor compliance with training and operational authorisations We invite you to demonstrate that you have Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong report-writing capabilities Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills A solid understanding of OH&S regulatory requirements High attention to detail and strong organisational skills The ability to build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders A proactive, self-motivated approach and a genuine \"go-getter\" attitude A current and valid NZ Class 1 Full Driver Licence (essential) Clean criminal record and able to pass Drug test #J-18808-Ljbffr
