We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Specialist to join our Business Banking team and play a key role in supporting a strong risk and compliance culture across the business. As a Compliance Specialist, you'll help Business Banking effectively manage compliance risk by providing advice, oversight, assurance, reporting, and support. You'll work closely with frontline and support teams to ensure regulatory obligations are met, compliance incidents are appropriately managed, and regulatory changes are successfully embedded into business processes. Key responsibilities include: Supporting compliance with applicable regulatory obligations across Business Banking. Providing guidance and support on policies, frameworks, and processes. Reviewing business processes to identify compliance risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities. Assisting with the implementation of controls that strengthen operational effectiveness. Supporting the assessment, escalation, and management of compliance incidents and control weaknesses. Contributing to assurance activities and thematic reviews to identify emerging compliance risks and trends. Supporting the implementation of legislative and regulatory change. Building strong relationships with stakeholders to promote effective risk and compliance practices. You’ll bring a strong understanding of compliance and risk practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build trusted relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. We’re looking for someone who has: Experience working in banking, risk, compliance, or a related environment. Strong understanding of compliance obligations, regulatory requirements, and operational risk management. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational capability. The ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of effective controls. Sound analytical and problem-solving skills. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Approximately three years' experience in a banking or similar environment.
