The role If you are a reliable, compassionate and independent carer who would like to help us provide in home wellbeing support we’d love to hear from you. You might be starting your career in caring or nursing or looking for a role that can fit around other commitments. This role is perfect for someone is looking for some regular shifts and other casual shifts. The regular shifts include Monday – 6.30pm to 10pm (night meds) Tuesday and Wednesday - 12.30pm to 5.30pm Thursday 6.30pm to 10pm (night meds) Sunday 12.30 to 5.30pm Fortnightly Sunday 6.30pm to 10pm (night meds) The tasks may include, but aren’t limited to: Assistance with personal cares within scope (no solo heavy lifts) Supporting comfort, positioning, and wellbeing Communication with family and existing care team Providing calm, consistent presence in the home About the family We are a warm, friendly and social family who enjoy a good laugh and hearing a good story! We live on a farm in Stratford and have been heavily involved in the community throughout our lives. You will be caring for an elderly woman with advanced Motor Neurone Disease (MND). She is non verbal but has various communication strategies and would love to have some company. About you Because of the nature of this role, finding the right person is important. You will be reliable, calm, and sensitive to the needs of others. You will also be confident working in a complex home care environment, able to work independently, and comfortable being part of a wider care team. Experience with MND, neurological conditions, or complex physical care would be helpful but is not essential. You need to be eligible to work in New Zealand and willing to undergo police checks, and provide references from previous personal carer positions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
