Kaiwhakataka Rangahau (Research Administrator)

Kaiwhakataka Rangahau | Research Administrator Pūrangakura is seeking a Kaiwhakataka Rangahau / Research Administrator to provide high-level, comprehensive administration support to our research teams. Working closely with Project Leads and the Research Manager, you will help ensure the day-to-day operations and financial activities of our research projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. About the role Key responsibilities include: Providing administration support across research projects. Coordinating meetings, conferences, hui, wānanga, workshops and seminars. Coordinating travel, accommodation and conference attendance. Collating information to support research progress reports and other reporting activities. Maintaining project tasks, research records, resources and PBRF profiles. Supporting and welcoming manuhiri, guests and visiting scholars. Managing and responding to research project correspondence. Supporting a kaupapa Māori working environment where tikanga is upheld and practiced. About you You will be organised, confidence working across multiple activities and able to demonstrate good judgement, initiative and attention to detail. You will be comfortable working with confidential information and managing competing priorities and deadlines. You will bring: A basic understanding of te reo and tikanga Māori. A sound understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and kaupapa Māori values and practices. Experience working with whānau, hapū, iwi, Māori organisations and Māori communities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong planning, organisation, time management and prioritisation skills. An understanding of basic financial and budgeting practices. A high standard of work and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
