Job Category: Logistics, Supply & Transport Van Driver/Storeperson Permanent, Part-time (20 hours per week) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday shifts This is a great opportunity to support our Red Cross Shops in Greerton and Mount Maunganui by collecting donated goods, helping day-to-day operations run smoothly, and ensuring our stores are well stocked and ready to serve the community. As a public-facing role, you will engage with local communities, visit people’s homes, and represent New Zealand Red Cross in a positive and professional manner. We are looking for someone who can connect with a wide range of people respectfully and with integrity. In this role you will: Collect all donated goods and deliver them to shops, adhering to the guidelines on quality. Provide great customer service and confident interacting with a wide range of people, including visiting their homes to collect donated goods Assist with maintenance of stock levels this includes liaising with the Shop Manager or Delivery Scheduler, for the timely delivery of stock. Complete electrical test and tagging on electrical donated goods (training provided) Check and maintainthe vehicle you are driving to ensure complianceand road worthiness. KeepNew ZealandRed Crossinformed of any issues promptly. FollowNew Zealand Red Cross heath safety and wellbeing guidelines. Assist with work in the shops as required. To be successful you will have: A full, clean New Zealand driver's license - Class 2 is preferred Be physically fit and have a good understanding of safe handling and storage of goods. Experience working with volunteers and a wide range of public in our communities Driving experience in a similar or relatable role Excellent communication and customer service skills. The abilityto mix and work with a wide range of people. Self-motivation and a positive, friendly approach.
