Business Manager

SOL Group operates quarries and mobile crushing and screening operations across the South Island. We've built our reputation on quality products, great people and a practical, customer-focused approach. Following our recent integration into the Vinci Group, we're looking for a Business Manager to work closely with our General Manager, helping drive business improvements, coordinate key projects and ensure the many moving parts of a growing business stay on track. This is a varied role focused on helping keep the business moving, connecting SOL with HEB and the wider Vinci Group, and ensuring key priorities don't lose momentum. You'll coordinate business improvement initiatives, work at a high level with partners and stakeholders, turn ideas into action, and help deliver the systems, processes and disciplines needed to support a growing business. You'll also play an important role in helping the GM manage the many moving parts that come with running a busy and evolving business. This role would suit someone with experience in construction, infrastructure, quarrying, heavy industry, project coordination, commercial administration or business improvement. You\'ll be comfortable working with senior leaders, bringing structure and accountability to discussions, and turning ideas, decisions and action plans into real outcomes. We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, practical and pragmatic. Someone who can balance the bigger picture with the day-to-day realities of running a business, isn\'t afraid to roll up their sleeves, and enjoys getting out on site to understand how things work in practice. This isn\'t a role for someone who wants to wait for instructions. We're looking for a self-starter who takes ownership, spots what needs attention, and gets things moving. You'll be someone who can walk out of a leadership meeting with a page of actions and turn them into delivered outcomes, working across teams to keep priorities on track and make sure things happen.
