We're looking for an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to help shapeasecure,resilient, andfuture-focused cloudenvironment. ThispermanentWellington-basedseniortechnical rolecombinescloud engineering, platform operations,automation,security,and technical leadershipacrossMicrosoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID,Microsoft Purview, and related cloud services. Working closely with security, architecture, and operational teams, you'll contribute to strategic initiatives whileproviding hands-on technical expertise across our cloud platforms. This is an opportunity toinfluencetechnology that supports a modern, cloud-first organisation. You'll helpevolveStats NZ's Microsoft cloud environmentand contributetopractical, secure, and well-governed servicesthat make a difference. This role is best suited to an engineer with significant experience across Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, security,and cloud platform services. What you'll do Design, implement,supportand continuously improve Microsoft365 and Azureservices. Lead automation initiatives that improve reliability, consistency, and operational efficiency. Manage and enhance identity and access management services, including Microsoft Entra ID. Implement and maintainsecurity, governance, compliance, and information protection capabilities. Develop and maintain PowerShell-based automation and cloud management tooling. Supportcloudplatform operations, incident response, troubleshooting, and service improvement activities Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers. Contribute to platform strategy, architecture, standards, and roadmaps. Work collaboratively across Technology Services and business teams to deliver secure,effective technology outcomes. What you bring |Nōuterourou Provenexperience administeringandsupportingMicrosoft 365 platforms and services. Strongexperiencewith Microsoft Azure services in a large or complex environment. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, identity management, authentication, and access control. Experienceimplementingcloud security, governance, and compliance controls. Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly PowerShell. Experience supporting enterprise cloud platforms and services. Abilityto analyse and resolve complex technical issues. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. We highly valuedemonstratedcompetency inmātaurangaMāori, tikanga,and Te Tiriti o Waitangi application in a workplace setting. To support this work,proficiencyin tereoMāori, or a strong commitment to developing tereoMāori capability,is welcomed.
