Today, our work reaches hundreds of whānau, rangatahi, tamariki, and kōhungahunga through high-quality, whānau-centred programmes and services. The role This role provides dedicated commercial leadership, operational oversight and performance management across Te Taumata's commercial subsidiary group. This is a 12 month fixed term role based in Rotorua. You’ll report directly to the relevant subsidiary boards and provide reporting to the FAR Committee, giving you real governance exposure and the ability to shape commercial strategy from the ground up. Day to day, you’ll support the Property Management function and the new Housing Development, driving business plans, budgets and performance across each entity. You’ll monitor commercial performance, financial sustainability and risk, and identify opportunities to grow revenue, strengthen systems and build long-term value for Te Taumata and Ngāti Whakaue. You’ll also be the senior point of contact for contractors, consultants, funders, regulators and legal advisors, and you’ll work closely with Finance and external advisors to keep financial information accurate, timely and audit-ready. What you’ll bring Significant experience in a senior commercial, business, property, development or operations role, including leading managers or project leads across multiple functions Strong financial literacy, including budgets, cash flow, forecasting and commercial analysis Demonstrated experience working with boards, committees or senior decision-makers, including preparing board reports and business cases Sound understanding of property management, tenancy obligations and/or property development and construction delivery A relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, property, construction, law or a related discipline, or equivalent senior commercial leadership experience A current full NZ Driver Licence Experience working within a Māori organisation, iwi entity or subsidiary group structure would be an advantage, as would an understanding of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga Why join now If you’re ready to bring commercial rigour to a kaupapa that matters, and want to build something lasting for Ngāti Whakaue, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
