The purpose of this job Bupa Crofton Downs Care Home is a modern, purpose-built care home located in Crofton Downs, Wellington , overlooking the beautiful Trelissick Park and conveniently close to shops, public transport, and the city centre. It offers 49 beds across two floors, providing both rest home and hospital-level care. What makes Crofton Downs special is its contemporary design, with all rooms featuring private ensuites and some including kitchenettes. Residents can enjoy landscaped gardens, a movie theatre, activity programmes, and dedicated whānau spaces. This is a casual role, meaning there are no guaranteed hours. As a Caregiver, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to: Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans Maintain accurate and timely care documentation Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates What you’ll need to make it possible Hold a Level 0-2 Caregiving qualification, with current medication competency and a strong understanding of safe medication practices Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand Why you’ll love it?
