As a Barista / Café Assistant , you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the café at North Shore Hospital . You'll be responsible for preparing quality espresso coffee, providing exceptional customer service, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring the café is presented to the highest standards. This is a Casual position where hours of work are "as and when" required basis upon business needs. Therefore, you MUST be available during weekends . Prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee, beverages, and café items. Deliver friendly, professional customer service and create a welcoming café environment. Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately handle cash and customer transactions. Maintain café stock levels, assist with ordering, stock rotation, and minimise wastage. Ensure the café, equipment, and public areas are clean, safe, and maintained to food safety standards. Excellent communication and customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy café environment. Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physically fit, reliable, flexible, and passionate about delivering great coffee and service.
