About the role We have an exciting opportunity to join the Merchandise Team in the role of Buyer’s Assistant - Building Supplies & Plumbing. What's involved Support the buyer with admin associated with range management, including product changes, allocations and inventory management Action cost and retail changes as advised by the Buyer Monitor competitor activity Provide support to stores by liaising with suppliers, Operations, Marketing and other stakeholders Who we’re looking for The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Your strong planning & organisational skills combined with your passion for merchandising will set you above the rest. You’ll enjoy the challenge of a fast-paced environment with many and varied daily activities working with a dynamic team where fun is as much part of the culture as hard work. You’ll need: Exceptional organisational skills Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Understands the importance of timelines Has the ability to self-manage and prioritise effectively Possesses well-developed written and verbal communication skills Ideally you have a relevant tertiary qualification, however not essential and may have experience in store retailing Nau mai, haere mai - you’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
