Health and Safety Advisor

HEB Construction is a dynamic and innovative leader in the construction of New Zealand's Infrastructure. We are involved with a variety of projects from road construction and maintenance through to earthworks, drainage, marine works, and major projects of national significance. We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Christchurch. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a skilled and collaborative group of health and safety practitioners, all committed to our goal of ensuring every person goes home safe and healthy each day. About You You’ll bring: At least three years’ experience in a construction health and safety environment Proven experience in investigations, monitoring, training, and coaching Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a wide range of audiences A collaborative, team-focused approach Key Responsibilities Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Providing effective health and safety support and advice across allocated business units within your region Leading and supporting high‑quality incident investigations Building strong relationships with managers, workers, and subcontractors Delivering health and safety training across your region Conducting site inspections and providing monitoring and coaching Collating performance data and maintaining regional reporting What we offer At HEB, you’re not just joining a team, you’re joining a workplace that genuinely looks out for you.
