Based in National Office, Wellington CBD Full time permanent role, $90k Mō te tūnga | About the role Awhi is a parent-led, library-supported website designed to be a trusted hub of evidence-based information, resources, and support for parents of intellectually disabled and neurodivergent children. As Awhi ngā Mātua Lead, you will co-ordinate and develop engaging and informative content that reflects the voices, experiences, and needs of parents and whānau, ensuring the website remains relevant, accessible and useful for a wide and diverse audience. A key part of this role is the strategic building of strong relationships across the disability sector. You will also encourage and manage input into Awhi, connect with communities, and ensure parent’s voices remains central to the site’s direction and content. The ideal person for this role will have a background in communications with strong writing and publishing skills, sound editorial judgement, and a genuine commitment to creating a site that meets audience needs. You’ll be self-motivated with the initiative and skill to gather stories and insights from parents, communities, and sector organisations. You’ll also have: Experience creating or managing successful website, newsletters and digital content. Experience in strategic liaison and cross-team collaboration. A customer-focused mindset and a strong understanding of audience needs. Familiarity with Canva and relevant digital tools, platforms, and systems.
