Avondale College offers both NCEA and Cambridge curriculum pathways to our students. Avondale College recently won the national Education Excellence Award for Quality Teaching and Instruction, in recognition of our innovative and highly structured professional learning model. All teachers actively participate in our PLD programme, with additional supports for early career, new to school and overseas teachers. Applicants who have a confirmed place on an Employment Based Teacher Training (EBTT) programme are welcome to apply. Applicants for positions at Avondale College must be NZ registered teachers and will endorse the school’s academic priority as well as be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62,862 to $105,686 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience.
