Are you a fully qualified Chartered Accountant ready to step into a visible, people-focused management role? We are looking for a superstar Business Advisory Accountant Manager to help lead a talented team, work directly with clients from day one, and play a meaningful part in shaping the future of a dynamic Wellington mid-tier practice.

The opportunity

This is a leadership role with real influence. You will support and help develop a team of approximately 20 accountants, from graduates through to seniors, while remaining closely connected to high-quality compliance, taxation and business advisory work. You will be trusted with client relationships early, backed by approachable partners and a collaborative team environment.

What you will be doing

  • Helping manage, mentor and support a team of accountants across varying levels of experience.

  • Reviewing and overseeing compliance work, including annual accounts, tax returns, GST and related advisory matters.

  • Providing practical taxation and business consulting support to a diverse client base.

  • Building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser from day one.

  • Supporting workflow, quality control, deadlines and team development across the Business Advisory function.

  • Contributing ideas on how the firm can continue to grow, improve and evolve.

About you

  • Fully qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

  • At least five years of relevant experience, ideally gained in a public practice environment.

  • Strong technical capability across compliance, taxation and business advisory work.

  • Confident reviewing work, coaching others and helping people grow.

  • Commercially minded, client-focused and comfortable dealing directly with business owners and decision-makers.

  • Positive, organised and collaborative, with the ability to bring energy and momentum to the team.

Why join us?

  • A genuine team culture - Inclusive, social and friendly, with a strong sense of belonging from the start.

  • Access and autonomy- Work directly with the firm's clients from day one and make a visible contribution.

  • Future-focused leadership - Have a say in how the firm develops because you will be part of its future.

The kind of person who will thrive

You will enjoy being close to the action: supporting people, solving client problems, improving processes and helping create a practice that is technically strong, commercially responsive and a great place to work. If you want a role where your leadership matters and your ideas are welcomed, this is an excellent next step.

Interested? We would love to hear from you. Please apply with your CV and a brief cover note outlining your public practice experience and leadership strengths.
