Job Description

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Middle leadership Science 2 x MUs, 1 x MMA Epsom Girls Grammar School, Te Kura Tuarua o Ngā Taitamāhine o Maungawhau, is a school that strives for excellence: in performance, in the connections between people and in its pastoral supports. As a school we have always taken girls' education seriously and, in all that we do, we seek to grow women of great character. In our kura we value courage, aroha, community, and manawa reka, and these values are woven through our words and our actions - from a governance level through to a classroom and co-curricular level, as well as in informal interactions on campus, and in the community. We are a large, urban school for girls, with a current role of 2,300 students. Our expert staff teach towards the national qualification, NCEA, and from 2026, will also offer Cambridge International courses and learning (where appropriate). We have a large co-curricular programme of sports, visual and performing arts, cultural expression as well as charity and service opportunities. Our staff are expected to take an active role in supporting the co-curricular programme of the school, by coaching or managing teams and groups. We seek an enthusiastic and experienced educator who can lead our junior science program. Our large and well-resourced science faculty has developed a clear scope and sequence for science learning that prepares students well for both NZ and Cambridge curricula and we are looking for someone to continue to develop and extend this work. Please state science specialist areas taught in your application. Get new listings like these in your email Suggested as they share a similar subject, location or sector. Learn more #J-18808-Ljbffr
