Mō tēnei mahi | About this job We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, organised andpeople-focused Kaiwhakarite - Administrator to join our Whangārei team. As the Kaiwhakarite - Administrator, you will be thewelcoming face of our organisation, providing a positive and professionalexperience for tauira (students), kaimahi (staff), stakeholders and visitors.You’ll play an important role in keeping our site running smoothly andproviding administrative support across a range of areas. This is a varied role where you will work with a range ofpeople and manage different priorities throughout the day. You’ll need to becomfortable learning new things, working with different stakeholders and takingresponsibility for your own workload. You don’t need to have extensive administration experience —we are happy to provide training and support to the right person. What isimportant to us is that you are a quick learner, communicate clearly andrespectfully, and are willing to ask questions and seek support when you needit. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and widerteam, so honesty, reliability and a willingness to work collaboratively areimportant. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, isproactive and is keen to become a valued member of our team. You will support a range of day-to-day administrative tasks,including requisition processes, maintaining site resources, supporting eventsand helping ensure the smooth operation of our site. We are looking for someone who is organised, approachableand professional, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. A willingness to learn and the ability to pick up newsystems and processes quickly Clear, professional and respectful written and verbal communication skills The ability to work confidently with a range of people and stakeholders The ability to manage competing priorities and stay organised in a busyenvironment The ability to work autonomously while knowing when to ask questions and seeksupport Honesty, reliability and a strong sense of accountability A proactive approach and willingness to get stuck in Basic computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office; experience withOutlook, Excel and Word would be an advantage A Full New Zealand Driver Licence; the ability to drive a manual vehiclewould be an advantage An ability to understand and use basic te reo Māori phrases, mihi andgreetings A willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop yourunderstanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) This role has a physical component, so you will also need tobe comfortable with tasks that involve some lifting and moving of resources. Most importantly, we are looking for the right person. You don’t need to know everything when you start — we will provide training andsupport to help you learn the role.
