About the Role As an Occupational Therapist within Adult Mental Health, youwill work collaboratively with service users, whānau, and multidisciplinaryteams to deliver person-centred assessment, treatment, and recovery-focusedinterventions. Your role will involve supporting people with a range ofmental health needs, promoting positive healthy lifestyle choices, meaningfulengagement in daily activities, and assisting individuals to achieve theirrecovery goals within community settings. This is a permanent, part-time position working 56 hours per fortnight (0.7 FTE),Monday to Friday , 8.00AM to 4.30PM. The role is based in Blenheim at WairauHospital. About the Team/Service/ Location Our Adult Mental Health Service provides specialistassessment, treatment, and support for adults experiencing mental healthconditions across the Marlborough region. As part of a dedicatedmultidisciplinary team, you'll work alongside Psychiatrists, Psychologists,Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and other allied healthprofessionals committed to delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care. For more information on living and working in Blenheim clickhere About you As an Occupational Therapist within Adult Mental Health, youwill: Holdregistration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and acurrent Annual Practising Certificate; Havedirect experience working in mental health settings A stronginterest in mental health practice; Demonstrateexcellent communication and relationship-building skills; Bepassionate about recovery-focused, person-centred care; Workeffectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team; Holda full New Zealand driver's licence. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in NewZealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
