About the job: We’re looking for an experienced Drilling Operator or Foreperson to join our Directional Drilling team in New Plymouth. The role involves: Operating specialist drilling plant and equipment Coordinate and support day to day drilling and construction activities Install water, sewer, gas, irrigation, ducts and cabling Support and mentor team members and help create a positive team culture. Coordinate excavations, reinstatement and site activities Read plans, carry out service marking, potholing and asbuilt documentation. What you’ll need: Class 1 & 2 Drivers License and an ability to drive a manual is essential Sound knowledge of plant, equipment and construction practices Expereince in directional drilling or similar civil consutrction environment Experience leading a crew or coordinating work is highly desirableWe need someone who is able and willing to participate in the on-call and standby roster. You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently. All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
