Duty Nurse Manager - Integrated Operations Centre Duty Nurse Manager Permanent, 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) Integrated Operations Centre Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora - Whanganui Make a Difference When It Matters Most We are seeking an experienced and motivated registered nurse to join our team as a Duty Nurse Manager (0.6 FTE) . This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about patient safety, operational coordination, and supporting staff to deliver high-quality care. As a Duty Nurse Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership across the organisation, ensuring safe and effective service delivery during your shift. You will act as the senior nursing resource, supporting patient flow, workforce deployment, incident management, and clinical decision‑making. Key Responsibilities Provide visible clinical and operational leadership across services. Support safe staffing and workforce management. Coordinate patient flow and escalation processes. Respond to clinical and operational incidents and emergencies. Provide expert advice and support to nursing and multidisciplinary teams. Promote high standards of patient care, quality, and safety. Facilitate effective communication between clinical teams, managers, and stakeholders. About You You will be an experienced registered nurse with demonstrated leadership capability and a commitment to delivering excellent healthcare outcomes. You will have: Current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practising Certificate. Significant clinical nursing experience. Proven leadership and decision‑making skills in a complex healthcare environment. Strong communication and relationship management skills. Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast‑paced environment. Experience in operational management, patient flow, or clinical coordination is desirable. Post graduate papers is desirable.
